Abstract
Stable silylene-NHC complexes have received much attention as storable equivalents of highly reactive free silylenes. We report herein the synthesis, XRD analysis, and a reaction of a silacyclopropenylsilylene-NHC complex (1·IMe4) obtained via the NHC-triggered (1+2) retro-cycloaddition of the corresponding silacyclopropenyl-silacyclopropane derived from an isolable dialkyldisilyne and 3-hexyne.
