Abstract
Malaysia is a country with ethnic and cultural diversity. Each race has its own ethnicity and culture. To understand cultural diversity in Malaysia, one of the ways is to have a multicultural attitude. Preservice teachers need to have a positive attitude to teach students from diverse ethnicities and cultures. In the context of education, multicultural attitude is necessary to see the desired qualities for the best teaching in the classroom and not bias against students from minority groups. Preservice teachers who have a positive attitude towards students' cultural diversity will influence their cultural competence.
