Abstract

De Magistro (On the Teacher) is one of the most important writings of St Augustine, a medieval theologian whose works were very influential in the development of Western Philosophy and Christianity. Second, it gives some information of the historical times in which the text was written. It then gives a summary of the content of the text and points out that the main theme of the text is the role of teacher, learner, and God in the acquisition of knowledge.
