Significant differences in photophysical and photovoltaic properties of flexible chain terminated homoleptic tris-Ir(iii) complexes

Abstract

Terminal flexible chains in homoleptic tris-Ir(iii) complexes from ethylhexyl carboxylic ester to hexyl induced dramatic differences in absorption and emission, and in particular had an opposite effect in ternary organic solar cells.
