Abstract

Driving cycle predicts the range of an electrical vehicle under controlled conditions and certain driving cycles can significantly affect vehicle performance. during this paper, driving cycle effects on performance parameters and range are studied by considering a proposed small electric vehicle. Simulations are administered in Matlab/Simulink. Vehicle parameters like top speed, acceleration, final drive reduction ratio and battery current are compared with energy economy of small electric vehicle. supported simulation results the driving cycles fitted to urban mobility are ECE R 15 and JP - 10 mode. The proposed small electric vehicle designed considerately to satisfy the need for urban mobility and meet the range of atleast 200 km.
