Abstract
To investigate mechanisms of cell death may lead to a novel strategy to several malignancy. Pancreatic adenocarcinoma is known as the most malignant neoplasm to treat. Although radiotherapy is one of essential modality against this disease, gemcitabine (GEM) has emerged as a key drug against pancreatic cancer. However, large portions of the cell death mechanisms by radiotherapy and the drug remains unsolved. Apoptosis is reported to be involved partially in the cytotoxicity of radiotherapy and the GEM, majority of non-apoptotic cell death mechanisms is still uncertain.
