Abstract

Logging while drilling (LWD) technology can be roughly divided into three generations. Correlation with construction and formation evaluation; logging while drilling ensures that the logging data required to determine capacity and economy and reduce drilling risks can be collected. The target location is found in conjunction with wellbore imaging, formation dip and density data. These advances have led to high success rates for drilling of many types of wells, especially high-angle, super-long and horizontal wells. So far, serialized and complete sets of logging while drilling equipment have been developed, including electric logging while drilling, sonic logging while drilling, nuclear logging while drilling, formation pressure logging while drilling, NMR logging while drilling and seismic logging while drilling, etc.
