Abstract
AbstractRepetitive or multipass processes are a class of systems characterized by a series of sweeps through a set of dynamics defined over a fixed finite duration. The output of each sweep or pass acts as an explicit forcing function on and hence contributes to the next pass profile. This in turn leads to the unique control problem that the output sequence can contain oscillations which increase in amplitude from pass to pass. In this paper signal‐processing techniques are employed to develop unique computable performance measures of direct use in controller design and related studies.
