Abstract
In this work, we consider an estimation method in sparse Poisson models inspired by Friedman et al. (2010), which is based on a second order Taylor approximation of the log-likelihood. We provide a novel sign consistency result for this approach under mild conditions. Additionally, we illustrate our theoretical result with numerical experiments.
