Abstract
Fabomotizole (5-Ethoxy-2-[2-(morpholino)-ethylthio]benzimidazole dihidrochloride) is effective and safe drug for treatment of patients with generalized anxiety disorder and adjustment disorders. In in vitro experiments Fabomotizole demonstrated pronounced antioxidative and cytoprotective effects that are likely achieved by additive Sigma-1 receptor - mediated effects and proposed antigenotoxic effects of drug.
