Abstract
Let π : Aut (Fn) → Aut (ℤn) be the epimorphism induced by the isomorphism [Formula: see text] and define [Formula: see text]. We prove that the subset of [Formula: see text] consisting of all non-irreducible with irreducible powers and all non-hyperbolic elements is exponentially small.
