Abstract

Purpose The focus of this study was to observe sick building syndrome in worker of wood industry and to examine factors related with it. Method This qualitative study was carried out on 31 workers. Findings This study showed 64.52% sick building syndrome among workers. Only 29.03% workers applied procedur of personal protective equipment use. There was not a significant relation between sick building syndrome and lighting intensity. However, this study found meaningful difference between noise intensity and personal protective equipment use on sick building syndrome. Conclusion This study recommended to build regulation about personal protective equipment use for worker to protect them from noise in work environment.
