Abstract

Sialolithiasis is the most common salivary disorder, predominantly affecting both the submandibular gland and the Wharton's duct. Most of the salivary calculi are small in size but can reach large proportions, called giant sialoliths. This paper aims to describe a case of giant sialolith located in the submandibular gland duct, which was treated by surgical removal using an intraoral approach.
