Abstract
Making use of a proposed extension to the system of SI prefixes, it is shown how it ispossible to create alternative coherent systems of units. Two examples of such systems arepresented, each applicable to vastly different domains of scale in the physical world. It issuggested that experimentation with such systems can lead to a deeper understanding ofhow coherent units work and result in more manageable numbers in their particularregime.
