Abstract

The issues of increasing in the homogeneity of the structure and properties of castings made of hypereutectic silumins are considered. It is shown that the use of natural shungite as a modifier makes it possible to solve this problem and provides an increase in the level of mechanical properties hypereutectic silumins by 10...15 %, which expands the possibilities of their application for engine building and makes it possible to abandon expensive nanocarbon modifiers.
