Abstract

Low-temperature magnetoresistances of a narrow GaAs/AlGaAs wire have been measured down to 0.3 K at magnetic fields of up to 8 T. A deviation from the straight Fan plot has been observed in Shubnikov-de Haas (SdH) oscillations of the magnetoresistance. Comparing the amplitude of the oscillations with the theoretical estimation, the deviation corresponds to a change in the single-particle relaxation time. The change suggests a modification of electron wave propagation in high magnetic field.
