Abstract

A 24-year-old man presented to physical therapy via direct access with a 6-month history of activity-related right shoulder pain that began after initiating a weight-training program. The patient was diagnosed with an intramuscular hemangiolymphangioma in the right supraspinatus muscle 10 years prior to the physical therapy examination, while regular imaging and orthopaedic oncology consultations were discontinued 3 years prior. Due to the presence of the mass and the patient's past medical history, the physical therapist consulted the orthopaedic oncology team, who recommended physical therapy without additional imaging.
