Abstract

I appreciate the intent behind Phair et al's paper,1 as it highlights the need for vascular surgery as a specialty to focus on its online presence. In a world where patients have access to instant information at their fingertips, the need for high-quality, specialty-specific content is undoubtedly important. However, I question 1 - if vascular surgeons are equipped to do web analytic research, 2 - if a peer-reviewed journal is the best forum for this information to be shared, and 3 - if the authors' conclusions are within the scope of the study.
