Abstract
Henry K. Silver, MD, is professor of pediatrics and clinical professor of nursing, and Patricia McAtee, RN, PhD, is assistant clinical professor, University of Colorado School of Medicine, Denver, CO. Dr. Silver, with Loretta Ford, pioneered the nurse practitioner movement; Dr. McAtee has been associated with its development since the 1960s.
