Abstract
Roxanna Smith Thomas, BSN, CCRN, FNP-S, is a nurse practitioner who completed her MSN as a family health nurse practitioner from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center (LSUHSC) in New Orleans. She is a graduate from the BSN program at Northwestern State University in Shreveport, Louisiana. She has had a wide variety of professional experience in the medical intensive care unit at the LSUHSC in Shreveport since 2001. She also is a member of AACN, AANP, and LANP and an active participant in various professional organizations.
