Abstract

A novel configuration of a shorted fractal Sierpinski gasket antenna is proposed. Using only half the structure of a conventional Sierpinski gasket, the antenna is folded over to be parallel to the ground plane, to form an element that is, in some ways, similar to the inverted L antenna. A shorting pin is then placed at the far end of the antenna. A quasi log periodic resonance behaviour is observed.
