Abstract

The atomic structure of amorphous electrodeposited Cr 80C 10H 10 and Cr 73C 12H 15 alloys was investigated by wide angle X-ray and neutron scattering. The total structure factors and pair correlation functions were determined. By combination of X-ray and neutron diffraction data, partial coordination numbers and atomic distances were obtained. Further, using a fast X-ray diffractometer equipped with a position sensitive detector, the in situ crystallization behavior of these alloys was studied.
