Abstract

The problem of nonstationary energy exchange between a supercritical flow of charged particles and a wideband resonator is considered. It is shown that the instability of the initial state of the flow-resonator system may initiate emission of a high-power pulse whose duration does not exceed the quarter-period of stationary oscillations formed in the system after the transient process is over.
