Abstract

AbstractPrevious studies have demonstrated the presence of crassulacean acid metabolism in the North American submerged aquatic Isoetes howellii (Isoetaceae). Diurnal changes in titratable acidity and malic acid levels indicate the presence of this pathway in two Australian species of Isoetes.
