Abstract
SoNon-linear plasma physics far we have already seen some examples for nonlinear phenomena in plasmas: one is the ponderomotive force in Sect. 3.6 and Appendix D. Other examples are shown numerically in Chap. 7 for plasma instabilities, including the two-stream instability, the Kelvin-Helmholtz instability and the parametric instability. In Chap. 8, a short introduction is presented for plasma nonlinear phenomena, including soliton, plasma echo and plasma turbulence [1–7].
