Abstract
To estimate the shoreline changes near the Port of Oarai when the groin was built, the field observations were done and the characteristics of the coast were investigated. A present shoreline in nature was simulated by hydraulic model tests with obtained wave conditions and the time-scale between nature and the model was determined. Shoreline changes in the future were predicted using the results of hydraulic model tests and this time-scale.
