Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of the infl uence of breathing exercises on the shooting performance of biathletes of various types of competitive activity. Based on the analysis of the most eff ective respiratory complexes, regulated breath-ing modes, were developed for use by biathletes before the shooting line. The eff ectiveness of the regimes was tested in groups of biathletes of diff erent types of competitive readiness; “generalists”, “shooters”, “racers” in various intensity zones. The results were recorded in control shooting tests using simulators: coordination, ski simulators, treadmill, bi-cycle ergometer and shooting simulators. The test results showed that the use of regulated breathing modes increases the eff ectiveness of special shooting training, taking into account the type of competitive preparedness of qualifi ed biathletes.
