Garton, W. R. S. ; Parkinson, W. H. ; Reeves, E. M. Abstract The autoionization lifetime of the 15111 level and f-values of the 3s2 3p 18111 doublet of Al i have been measured by a shock-tube method. The lines of the doublet have a large natural width with a measuyed autoionization lifetime of 1.1 X 10-13 sec. The f-values have been determined as 0.033 for the 1936-A line and 0.049 for the 1932-A line.
