Abstract
The paper focuses on the development of carbon-modified wood-cement boards made of wood-wool for the purpose of shielding electro-magnetic radiation in the microwave frequency band. Powder coal was used as the electric conductive admixture to increase electric conductivity of wood-cement boards, and thus also total insertion loss. Increasing the concentration of carbon up to 25 wt% resulted in considerable rise of electric conductivity by 7 orders. The total insertion loss is directly proportional to thickness of the wood-cement board.
