Abstract

We established an equivalent circuit model of the shielding effectiveness(SE) of a cavity with apertures and inner symmetrical obstacles against the plane waves, and put forward the derivation process of approximate calculation analytical formulas based on the adjusted Transmission Line Method(TLM). The SE of apertured cavity were simulated within a frequency domain from 0 GHz to 1 GHz, and the theoretical values of shielding effectiveness were in good agreement with the CST simulation results. The results indicate that the SE of the cavity with inner obstacles is enhanced and the resonant frequency is changed compared with the empty cavity, and the effects will be enhanced with the increasing of the obstacles size. In detail, the wider the span is, the farther the distance to the aperture and the small slit distance of the obstacles is, the higher SE will be.
