Abstract

The electromagnetic duality principle is used for transformer modelling. The proposed method is presented. The calculation complexity of the rectangular winding parameters is reduced using a conformal mapping method and the boundary element method. The model parameters are directly calculated from the physical geometry by the finite element method or analytical formulations. The transformer modelling provides a good accuracy for the frequency dependent characteristics of the transformers. Comparisons between computation results and measurements are in good agreement.< <ETX xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">></ETX>
