Abstract
Abstract Fragment mass and kinetic energy distribution, measured by time of flight method, in cold fission of U-233, U-235, and Pu-239, are interpreted by a static scission model. Coulomb and shell effects play a decisive role in scission configurations. Absence of odd-even effects is assumed to indicate that there is at least one nucleon pair broken in every fragmentation.
