Abstract

1. A study was made of the pore size, stopping power, and permeability of two-layer filtration materials produced by the application of carbonyl nickel powder to a metallic gauze. It is shown that such materials can stop particles as small as 2–5μ in size. 2. It is shown that the ductility of two-layer filtration materials, as assessed by the number of bendings to rupture, decreases as the degree of reduction is increased to 66%, but above 72% it begins to increase.
