Abstract

An impurity production due to a non-thermal tail in the electron energy distribution generated at a tokamak edge by a wave heating was found. A simple formulation of sheath formation is presented, in which a modified Bohm criterion was introduced. The secondary electron yield from some target materials included in the above formulation influences much the enhancement of the sheath potential.
