Abstract
Culturally sensitive practice is expected of all professionals whether working domestically or internationally. This essay explores concepts relative to such practice, specifically discussing ‘shared territories’, multidimensionality, partnership, and ethnocentrism, and arguing for a view that places all of humanity in the diversity mix. The author writes out of her role as an academician with responsibilities for preparing students for future practice.
