Abstract

Mass transfer at low Reynolds numbers, and the steady-state fluid flow at moderate Reynolds numbers, have been studied for a series of rotating disc electrodes of different shapes. It is shown to be essential that the fluid flow in the region below the working surface of the disc electrode shall not interact with that in the upper region if a practical electrode is to conform to the theoretical requirements.
