Abstract

A parametric planar cubic B-spline curve is defined by a set of control vertices in a plane. Movement of any control vertex affects four curve segments. In this paper, the plane is divided into regions, each of which is identified with some feature of the B-spline curve segment which will result if a control vertex is placed in that region.
