Abstract

(Am J Obstet Gynecol. 2023;257–260) Low–molecular-weight heparins (LMWH) are often used to induce prophylactic anticoagulation for patients who experience venous thromboembolism, thrombophilia, and obstetrical antiphospholipid syndrome. It is theorized that unfractionated heparin delivered intravenously may be a possible alternative for the use of LMWH in pregnant patients.
