Abstract

The following text is dedicated to the 450th birth anniversary of the world's greatest playwright, William Shakespeare. On this occasion, the London Globe Theatre's ensemble, of which Shakespeare was a founder, has commenced a two-year world tour with the play Hamlet, ending in 2016 - the year that marks four centuries from Shakespeare's death. The commemoration of this jubilee has inspired the author to take us back to the era when this theatre with its activities marked the new epoch of vigour and vitality of theatrical creativity in Europe, despite numerous obstacles and, most of all, thanks to Shakespeare.
