AbstractThe participants in this online conversation here assess the current state of work on early modern bodies, offer bibliographical suggestions, and suggest topics for future inquiries. Paster, a key figure in the development of this sub‐field, describes her work to date as an “ecology of the passions” or an “ecology of the body” more generally; she calls for more study of “the ensouled body.”
