Abstract

To the best of our knowledge, this letter reports the first measurement campaign aimed at modeling the empirical large-scale/shadowing decorrelation distance in urban street canyons at 60 GHz. The observed path-loss exponents were close to Friis. Our results also show that the decorrelation distance is smaller than 40 wavelengths for the three tested scenarios. We also report that Zhang's model for the autocorrelation function of shadow fades provides a better fit than the Gudmundson's model.
