Abstract

The article provides an overview of the shadow economy in Uzbekistan. The policy pursued by the country’s leadership to minimize the influence of the shadow economy on the development of the country, and the legislative acts adopted are the basis of the issues considered. The reasons causing the need to take urgent measures are analyzed. The main ways to minimize the influence of the shadow economy and corruption are highlighted. Particular attention is paid to subjective reasons that have a negative impact on the development of the country’s economy. In conclusion, some conclusions are given that help improve the situation in a given direction.
