Abstract
Smart Grid is recognized to be the next power grid generation by implementing the information and communication technologies (ICI) into the traditional power grid. Smart Grids (SG) has given birth to multiple and diversified new terms and concepts such as sustainable energy and power consumption control. With the sustainable energy trend, research has moved towards energy use optimization. For that, developing a tool that can predict energy demand and generation over the time will be of a great use. Smart Grid Simulator (SGSim) has been established to provide electricity demand and supply generation forecast. The present paper aims to outline our Smart Grid Simulator as a load profile generator. The simulation results indicate that the proposed simulator is flexible and can determine load profiles near to real-world results.
