Abstract
A casual glance at the news of the day, the news that reflects the mores of our times, reveals how a high-ranking government official who was accused of, and arrested for, an immoral act is excused with special deference by psychiatrists from facing any potentially unpleasant confrontations on the grounds of health; albeit he subsequently is allowed face the pressures of the business world. Another news item tells us about college chaplains who want a new morality—one that recognizes, permits, and even excuses illicit sexual relationships. In New York City, where nudity is banned from the Broadway stage by law, a church permitted the performance of a new dance in front of an audience in which the performers were completely nude.
