Abstract

Violence against women frequently takes the shape of sexual violence. Gender equality, also referred to as sex equality, gender egalitarianism, sexual equality or equality of the genders, refers to the view that men and girls should receive equal treatment, and may not be discriminated against one another supported the gender, unless there's a sound biological or educational reasoning for such different treatment. Sexual pestering in workplace is a serious annoying factor that renders women's participation in works dangerous and affects right to work with self-respect. It is unwelcome oral, visual or physical conduct of a sexual character that is harsh or pervasive and affects operational conditions or creates an unfriendly work atmosphere. This paper evaluates the law relating to the sexual harassment of women at workplace and also the International Scenario around the world. This paper examines the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 in India. This paper also deals with the terms like voyeurism and stalking and also discusses Internal Complaints Committee and the steps involved in the complaint. This paper explores the rights and some the laws which are enforced by EEOC and also critically analyzed the judgment Vishaka v. State of Rajasthan and the guidelines of it.
