Abstract

Compelling evidence suggests that a gender-specific pattern and functioning within the nigrostriatal dopaminergic pathway may underlie different outcomes in patients with Parkinson's disease (PD). We aim to investigate the potential effect of sex on the whole-brain network topologic organization in a cohort of drug-naïve PD patients using resting-state functional MRI and correlations with baseline and longitudinal clinical features.
