Abstract

Spatial span (Corsi's block-tapping test) and verbal span (Wechsler Digits Forward test) were measured in 877 children (434 boys and 443 girls) divided into 7 age groups, aged 4 to 10 years. A significant difference (p < 0.001) pointing to a better performance of males was found on the spatial span, while there was no significant difference for the verbal span.
