Abstract

Background: Presence of abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) is significantly associated with of other forms of atherosclerosis. This study examined the utility of complex scoring systems for the severity of coronary artery disease (CAD), compared to the presence of single, double, or triple vessel disease, to predict the likelihood of AAA in a series of patients undergoing coronary angiogram, with the aim to identify a potential target for New Zealand screening programmes.
