Abstract
A rare case of intramural hematoma of the sigmoid colon is presented. The etiology and presenting symptoms in this patient are unusual and were never previously recorded. The diagnostic radiological features are discussed. The nonoperative management in this case affirms the conservative approach to uncomplicated intramural hematomas in other parts of the gastrointestinal tract.
