Abstract
If fully-developed, ground-loss generated settlement profiles normal to a tunnel centre line are described in terms of a normal probability function then it seems a logical progression to assign a cumulative probability curve to the form of the centre line settlement profile. It is concluded from an examination of some case history evidence that there is practical justification for doing this. (Author/TRRL)
